Today in beepaket e talk about how large companies are renewing their fleet and looking to the future.
Grupo Bimbo is moving towards sustainability with the incorporation of a fleet of 30 E-Transit. These are two-tonne electric vans that demonstrate Grupo Bimbo's commitment to sustainable mobility and efficiency in its logistics operations, which now totals 58 electric vehicles in its fleet in Spain.
The Ford E-Transit offers the company a leading combination of cargo capacity, range and savings in the cost of ownership and maintenance. All supported by the FORD PRO ecosystem of business mobility solutions designed to maximise business productivity.
Both companies, Grupo Bimbo and Ford, share values such as sustainability, efficiency and the constant search for maximum productivity, which has driven this strategic decision in 100% electric mobility.
“At Ford Pro we are committed to increasing uptime and reducing operating costs for businesses through innovative solutions such as E-Transit. We are delighted to partner with Grupo Bimbo in their mission to be a more sustainable company,’ said Marta Henriquez, Director of Ford Pro. ‘With up to 317 kilometres of range 2, up to 15 m3 of cargo space 3 and the advanced connectivity offered by the E-Transit, we believe the E-Transit's performance and capabilities are a perfect match for Grupo Bimbo's logistics needs”.
Olga Martínez, Director of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability at Bimbo EMEA, said: ‘One of our core pillars as a company is to move towards a sustainable, efficient and circular industry. To this end, we take concrete steps every day that allow us to improve our impact and reduce our carbon footprint. A good example is acquisitions like this one, with key partners like Ford Pro, which show us the way forward and bring us closer to our goals.
In line with Grupo Bimbo's sustainability strategy, thanks to this acquisition, the company continues on its path to become a net zero carbon company by 2050, as well as setting the interim goal of reducing its total direct and indirect emissions by 50% by 2030.
